Monarch Butterfly Day 2017. Barse Monarch butterflies were the focus of a special event. Rangers talked with visitors and demonstrated Shenandoah’s Monarch tagging project. Data gathered will help scientists determine Monarch migration patterns, survivorship, and population trends. The Monarch tagging program was presented in conjunction with the University of Kansas Monarch Watch.
