UNITED STATES - 01-11-21: The Ruse Farmhouse is a two-story log dwelling built in 1878 with a late 1880s frame addition. It’s possible that the log dwelling was moved from another place on the farm and re-assembled in its current location. The Ruse Farm House is typical of 19th century northern Loudoun building typology. Log construction was fairly common to Europeans who settled this part of the County. The farmyard is composed of a meat house, a summer kitchen, ice house, a spring house, two barns and several sheds. The County plans to restore portions of the farmyard to be integrated into the Lovettsville Park. (Photo By Douglas Graham)
