London, UK 18/05/2024 Nakba76 protest commemorating the ethnic cleansing of 750,000 Palestinians, three quarters of the population, from their homeland in 1947/48. For over 76 years Israels settler project has fragmented the Palestinian people. The keys symbolise the keys to the homes people left behind, and that they took with them in the hope that one day they would have a home to return to. The protest was met by a small pro Israel counter protest.
