Staff Sgt. Liam McPhail, 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron loadmaster, coordinates the loading of a C-17A Globemaster III at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Aug. 29, 2013. McPhail, hailing from the Bronx, , says that his favorite part of being a deployed loadmaster is the amount of experience he receives. “Everyday is never the same for us when we do our job,” said McPhail. “We can land anywhere and there could be a new challenge waiting for us to upload in the short time we are allotted.” McPhail is deployed from the 10th Airlift Squadron out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
