ST. LOUIS (April 18, 2017) – Rear Adm. Bret Muilenburg, commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command and chief of the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC), and Retired Capt. Jim Shelton, CEC, pose for a photo during a dedication ceremony in honor of Adm. Ben Moreell, founder of the Navy Seabees. The ceremony was held to honor the memory of Moreell’s life in St. Louis, his naval service and the creation of the Seabees. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Seabees and 150th anniversary of the CEC.
