Eugene Lefebvre (1878-1909), French aviator, in an aeroplane at Reims, France. Reims was the venue, in August 1909, for the world's first organised international air meet, \The Champagne Region's Great Aviation Week\". Lefebvre flew a Wright biplane at the meeting. He died in a crash while flying a Wright plane at Juvisy-Sur-Orge, France, later that year, on 7 September 1909. He is considered to be the first victim of an aeroplane crash.
