Aibration and pounding of mainbearings and rods appears to be eliminated entirely in the rollerl)earing locomotive, this result apparently being influenced bythe relative fixed location of the driver axles, maintaining there-by correct tram between the drivers and the rods. Heating is entirely eliminated, not only on driver but onother wheel bearings on the locomotive. The temperature riseof the driver bearings averages 15 to 20 degrees abo\e atmos-phere. This condit
