For brilliancy in color, a rich velvety crimson-scarlet, exceptionally long pointed buds of ideal shape, held gracefully on long stems and produced most gener- ously, we know of no other variety that is its equal, but having only 18 to 20 petals, usually arranged in three rows, the flowers expand very quickly, showing the golden stamens, but even in its fully expanded form its brilliancy of color is unequaled by any other variety of this type. $ per 100. Rennte (Berger, 1925). A seedling from the popular Kaiserin Augusta Victoria which it resembles in type. Bud large, of ovoid form, opening to very large, very double globular, creamy white flowers of strong fragrance and very good lasting quality usually produced several on a stem.
