The dry-air valve which keeps the water supplyshut off from the system while the air pressure remainson it is located in a small concrete house at one side of thebuilding, and inside of the main building next to the valvehouse is a small air pump operated by an electric motor forthe purpose of maintaining an air pressure of from 50 60 lb. on the system, thus keeping the dry-air valve shut
