The lower jaw has a very distinct notch at the symphysis, but scarcely any trace of a tubercle. The pectoral is a little longer than the head ; the posterior dorsal and the anal fins are scaly; caudal emarginate. A small blackish spot superiorly at the base of the pectoral. Eed Sea.
