This is the most important crop to the market gardener and small grower, and too much caution cannot be exercised in knowing that the seed is reliable and true. Our seed are grown with the utmost care and we know they are fresh, pure, reliable and true to name, tnd that th y have been grown from the heads only and these most carefully selected. One ounce will produce about 2000 plants. For early use, sow the seed in hot beds in January or February, or may be sown about the middle of October, and the plants wintered over in cold frames. Trans- plant in spring as soon as the ground can be worked, in rows two feet apart, and the plants eighteen inches apart in the rows. For late or winter use the seed should be sown in June and the plants set out in July, by 3 feet. Improved Early Summer.— This is, without any exception the be^t early fiat head variety for market use. Is only about eight to ten days later than the large Wakefield with heads double the 5-ize, and for shipping to Northern markets no variety will answer as well as the Early Sum- mer. It well deserves its popularity wi:h the market gardeners. Oz 25c; 2 40c; % lb., 75c; 1 lb., | Stein Early Flat D
