Håkons Hall Bryggen Bergen Norway


Named after King Håkon Håkonsson its original builder the hall was built from 1247 to 1261 as a venue for special occasions When the monarchy lapsed it was used for storage and underwent several modifications but was restored near the end of the late 18th century although it burned in 1944 it was restored again
