Takasaki made his annual trip to the CDC to give a holiday gift of book coupons to purchase bilingual children’s books and play with the center's children. Raised in a Nagasaki orphanage, when he was 10 Takasaki visited a Navy ship around the holidays where Sailors gave the children presents and played with them.
