The crew and miners worked all day, saving all the provisions and rigging, &c., they were able to get at, and landing them on the rocks. None of the cargo could be saved, but it was insured. The cold at this time was very the morning after abandoning her she was nowhere to be seen, and it is supposed she sunk at the entrance of the harbour'. From "Illustrated London News", 1856.
