A fine wheellock pistol, Southern German or Bohemian, circa 1640. Two-stage barrel, octagonal changing to round with smooth bore in calibre 14 mm. The complete upper surface is covered with finely inlaid tendril and blossom decoration. The lock with brass wheel cover, engraving renewed, the pan cover release button is a replacement. Ebonised stock with rich inlays of brass wire and engraved bone. Fore stock reset in old times, the stock sprung on the opposite lock side. Trigger guard with foldable finger guard, engraved iron pommel. Wooden ramrod with bone tip.,
