Carter, natives of the same 22, 1878, Charles married Miss Marietta Archer, and theyhave only one child, Mabel. Mr. C. came to this county in 1850,settling in Walker tp., on the farm where Morleytown stood, whichnumbered 100 houses, and where he yet lives, engaged in agricul-ture and stock-raising. His farm comprises 270 acres, and is onsees. 31 and 33. A. J. Ewing^ Tioga, 111., carries a stock of about $4,000 in drygoods, groceries, hardware, medicines, ready-made clothing, hats,caps, boots, shoes, etc., etc., and his annual cash sales amount toabout $7,000, besides credit accounts.
