Pavilion was built in 1787 by the architect Olof Tempelman for King Gustav III. It is an example of European Neoclassicism of the late 18th century. Gustav III left from the pavilion on the night of 16th March 1792 and was assassinated at a masked ball at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm
