The Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW) is a public gallery located on Art Gallery Road in The Domain in Sydney, New South Wales. It is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. Over the years, the gallery has expanded with additional wings, but its dramatic sandstone exterior on Art Gallery Road (designed by architect Walter Liberty Vernon, who also designed Central Station in Eddy Avenue, Sydney), is its most distinctive and recognizable wing.
