captured Soviet tank on parade in Shia mujahideen celebration of military might. This parade occurred in the military barracks and training centre of the ousted communist party of Najibullah. These soldiers are of the Shia militia of two parties; Harakat e Islami and Hisb e Wadhat. This photo was taken in spring 1994 shortly before the invasion from Pakistan of the Taleban. Most soldiers are of the minority Hazara tribe.
