It differs from Idossi in having the facial bump small and rounded ; from Moss'i and robinsoni in having the scutellum red, and from monticola in having the pubescence of the thorax and scutellum wholly reddish, and in other respects. Subfamily MILESIINiE. Antennae moderately long, generally pendent, never porrect; arista dorsal, bare (except in two or three genera, Serkomyia etc.). Trons prominent, bare or slightly pubescent: eyes gene- rally bare, contiguous or approximate in S, wide apart in $; face usually bare.
