A model 1825 sabre for officers, of the Bavarian Mounted Gendarmerie Curved blade with fullers and etched with "In Treue fest" (Firm in loyalty) on both sides, from the period of the Prince Regent (1886 - 1912). The maker's mark for the Solingen Kirschbaum Company, (a knight's helmet) is displayed on the ricasso, with the seller's inscription, "Jos. Vierheilig München" on the back. Three bar tombac hilt with a thumb shell. Fluted, mushroom-shaped grip cap, checkered ebony grip. Chrome-plated metal scabbard with tombac mountings, two suspension rings, and drag. ,
