This species, the only known Singhalese representative of the Apachyidce, may be easily recognized by the generic characters. It was discovered by Mr. Green, who found a single pair. Family II. The elytra are weakly attached—that is, the anal angle is rounded, so that a triangular scutellum of var'-ing size is exposed at the base of the elytra when closed.
