The holesnearest the centre are small and grow imparting to it some, though perhapsnot a great deal of humidity. This pro-vision is shown on the sectional viewof the heating chamber, where a brass pipe is connected tothe water supply, the perforations, pinholes of the smallest size, being drilledand spaced j-in. apart and extending thefull width of the heating chamber in astraight line. The disposition of- the vent ducts isanother unique feature. The spaces be-tween the floor beams and the studs areutilized for this purpose. These ventducts are carried to a vent flue in oneof the chimneys, where the warm gasesof the chimney effectually prevent anyback draughts that might be caused bythe wind.
