Marine Captain Douglas P. Light assumes the position inside his damaged Phantom jet after being hit by an enemy 50 caliber bullet. The bullet penetrated the cockpit, ripped through his gear, and punched a hole in the aircraft's seat before exiting. This photo was taken in June 1968 during Gregory "Pappy" Boyington's visit to his old squadron.
