French riot police fire tear gas during eviction of anti airport protest woodland camp. Notre Dame des Landes, Nantes, France.
Farmers and neighbours around the town of Notre Dame des Landes are being forced from their homes by the French government, in order to build a second airport for the city of Nantes. The usefulness of a second airport has been called into question by a number of environmental groups. Protesters and farmers worked together during the first evictions in October 2012, and continue to oppose the government's plans.
