Copenhagen and Malmo. Satellite image of Copenhagen, Denmark (left) and Malmo, Sweden (right) on opposite sides of the Oresund strait (blue). Copenhagen is the capital city of Denmark and Malmo is the most populous city in Skane (Skania) County, Sweden. Together they constitute the transnational Oresund Region (Copenhagen-Malmo Metropolitan Area), the most densely populated area in Scandinavia.
