The Black-lined Plated Lizard is a large egg-laying reptile common to the coastal scrub and dry grasslands of Eastern Africa. With distinct lateral lines and red and blue colouration they are popular specimens with herpetologists and collectors as they easily tame down despite being shy in the wild.
