The remains of the church at the ruins of St Benets Abbey near Holme and Ludlow on the Norfolk Broads. This historical 9th century site of the St Benedict order is located on the River Bure, and is recorded as one of the historical sites during the Peasants Revolt of 1381 when local people demanded to be paid for their work. When the abbey fell into ruin in the 18th century a local farmer-landowner built a windmill over the abbey's gatehouse wrecking the abbeys facade. The windmill had the distinction of being the oldest windmill on the Norfolk Broads. Its initial use was to make oil seed then later as a drainage windmill.
