The Berlin Wall, south of the Border Crossing for West Berliners at Sandkrugbrucke, Invalidenstrasse, followed Alexanderufer, on the east side of the Spandau Ship Canal, towards the River Spree at Kapelle Ufer. It then followed the west bank of the River Spree towards the Reichstag Building.
