Mrs Macdonald Sir George Reid (Aberdeen, Scotland, 1841 - 1913) 1882 Mrs MacDonald was the wife of granite merchant and collector of art, Alexander MacDonald (1837 – 1884) who lived in Kepplestone, the large house on the other side of the road from George Reid's home, St Luke's. Like Mia Reid, she was a keen gardener and would sometimes bring flowers across to her friend George Reid for him to paint. She is depicted in the garden of St Luke’s – the bank behind her and the Tudor cladding help to identify the building. Garden, Female, Portrait
