The first president of the United States of America, serving from 1789 to 1797, Washington is universally regarded as the "Father of his country". He was born on 22 February, 1732 in Westmoreland, Virginia Colony, USA and died on 14 December, 1799 in Mount Vernon, Virginia, USA.
