These signs are designed to make the French public aware of the Tiger Mosquito and ways of controlling it. The mosquito has spread throughout southern Europe. It's bite is far worse than that of the common mosquito. The public are being made aware that any water left uncovered could be a breeding ground, evem the water left in plant pot saucers. It is suggested that the base is filled with sand to stop the female from laying her eggs. The poster tells the public that it can transmit diseases such as Denue fever, Zika and Chikungunya.
