Normally, Volusia anticipates hundreds of trick-or-treaters but during the first "COVID-19 Halloween" in America, parents played it safe, families wore masks with their costumes and parents ensured that their children did not take off their masks or get too close to those they did not know due to coronavirus fears. Many opted out of the festivities altogether, but those who ventured out were met with buckets full of candy and kind-hearted but distanced waves from neighbors.
