The Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 as the Apothecaries Garden. The coat of arms depicts a golden, radiant Apollo - god of the sun and crops, among many other things - with bow and arrow, overcoming pestilence represented by a wyvern (a two-legged dragon with tail).
