INDIAN OCEAN (Aug. 4, 2015) Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Jeremiah Zapata fires at a target with an M45 1911A1 pistol aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Zapata is a corpsman with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force security element. These Marines practice slow-fire shooting to enhance their fundamentals and accuracy.
