Micro irrigation

Micro irrigation on a farm, made reusing conventional sprinkling water hydrants in the Salinas Valley, California, USA on the 16th of June 2021. Micro irrigation reduces water evaporation because the water is delivered to the soil. It also reduces soil erosion, is easier to maintain and captures runoff from seasonal rains. This has prevented runoff from this farm reaching the Salinas River. By reducing demand for irrigation, micro irrigation supports regenerative agriculture practice of conserving water.
