He was educated at Dean Academy and Holliston Seminary, andspent the greater part of his life in his native town, where he was always active inits affairs, and enjoyed the confidence of his fellow-men to a large degree, havingbeen a member of the State Legislature, and for many years holding various officesof trust and responsibility.
