Dr. Crooks preached his funeral sermon in the Thirtieth-street Methodist Episcopal church, and his remains were carriedto their resting-place in the Wilmington and Brandywine cem-etery, Wilmington, Del. His grave is marked by a white mar-ble tomb-stone on which is inscribed the text of his lastdiscourse. His wife, Caroline S. (Ford,) was, previous to their mar-riage, a resident of Elkton, Md. She died in the month of Au-gust, 1877, aged sixty years, and is buried by the side of herhusband. One of their two daughters, Mary, wife of John E.
