A heavy field sword, Solingen, circa 1630 Broad, double-edged blade. The upper third with double fullers on both sides, with inscription "IHN SOLINGEN". The ricasso with three fullers and struck mark on both sides (cross under crown). S-shaped, curved quillons with large shell guard, languet with thumb ring on the obverse side. Original grip with iron wire winding and iron grip bolster. Pear-shaped, slightly flattened pommel. Original scabbard made from black leather with iron furniture.
