William Patterson, outgoing commodore, relieving him of his duties during a change of command ceremony held at the chapel onboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. Squadron 16 is responsible for the maintenance and operation of two Ohio-class guided-missile submarines, USS Florida (SSGN 728) and USS Georgia (SSGN 729).
