Protesters gathered outside the Brazilian embassy in London to honor the life and legacy of Brazilian activist Marielle Franco who was an outspoken critic of police brutality and extrajudicial killings against favela residents. Franco was assassinated for her political activities along with her driver Anderson Gomes on March 14, 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the vigil speakers addressed the assistants and claimed justice and demanded the end of the impunity in Franco's crime.
