The flowers that have hitherto been mentioned are almost all hermaphrodite and dichlamydeous. The flowers of shasha or Cucumber, belati-kumrha or Gourd, tarmuz or Water-melon, lal-bharenda {Jatro- pha gossypifolia), bag-bharenda {Jatropha Curcas), Castor-oil (rerhi) plant (see fig. 233), are diclinous and monoecious; the flowers of panpe or Papaw (figs. 77, 78), pituli (see figs. 236, 237), pan or Betel-leaf.
