He is one of the leading farmers of hiscounty, always taking a prominent part in the fairs and farmers institutes of thecounty, having been a member of the Pair Board eleven years, two years of whichtime he was president, and four years president of the farmers institute. He is a Knight Templar Mason. He is a raember of the Methodist Church, inWhich he has held an official position for fifteen years. In 1899 he was elected to the74th General Assembly by a majority of 1,300, and re-elected to the 75th GeneralAssembly by the handsome majority of 1,703. (464). MR. PRICE, OF Athens County. Aaron E. Price, Republican, who is serving his second term as the Representa-tive from Athens county, was born near Logan, Hocking county, Ohio, on December10, 1861. He lived with his father on the farm until nineteen years of age. Inthe spring of 1881 he entered the Ohio University at Athens, from which he grad-uated in June, 1888, having completed the classical and the seven years pedagogicalcourses. He was principal of the Georgetown, Ohio, public schools for the two succeed-ing years, abandoning teaching altogether and taking up the study of law in the officeof Judge Samuel H. Bright, of Logan, Ohio, who now represents the Ninth-FourteenthSenatorial District in the present Senate. He was admitted to the bar on March3, 1892, and immediately went into the practice at Nelsonville, Ohio, where heremained for four years.
