Early Flowering Hardy Chrysanthemum These are exceedingly fine, and are perfectly hardy planted in the open ground and flower magnificently in October and late into November. They make a border which is as brilliant and beautiful as the gayest flowers of summer. They are most- ly of the Pompon type, very double and perfect .and flowers in great clusters. All colors mixed. Plants lifted from tl pen ground and sent to us in May began budding ami blooming in our grounds in July and on Nov. 1st were still full of flowers and buds, while those in pots continued blooming far into the winter. It may be used either as a garden or pot plant, and is perfect ly hardy in the open ground. The flowers are of the ("ninose type, perfectly double and produced by the hundreds. No other sort can equal it in prt'fusion. Plants of a dwarf habit, is to24 inches high with perfectly healthy foliage and enormous branches, all of which produce bloom. A new Chrysanthemum which may be grown either in the garden or in pot-, and which will produce such a crop of fine double flowers for so great a part of the year must certainly be regarded as the greatest modern Novelty.
