This treatment isapplied to gearing cut from forged steel and which unites the already compact constructionstill more closely. The result of this is a gear that will stand up under the severest serviceconditions, reducing maintenance costs, frequent delays due to replacements and giving a lifeof 4 times that of untreated cast steel in identical service conditions.
