A subway rider demonstrates service on his Blackberry Playbook at the W14th Street station on the Eighth Avenue IND line on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, on the first day that cellular service has been implemented. The wireless and data communication capability is available in six stations along the 14th street corridor and on the Eighth Avenue and W23rd Street station. Travelers will be able to use their AT&T and T-Mobile phones only in those stations with an additional 30 stations rolling out in 12 months and the remaining 271 stations within four years.
