Former vice commandant, Vice Adm. Charles Ray, and former commandant, Adm. Robert Papp, both retired, attend the Atlantic Area change of command ceremony on May 24, 2022, at Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Virginia. The change of command is a time-honored tradition formally recognizing the transfer of command from one leader to another.
