Laser hair removal. Woman undergoing Plasmalite laser cosmetic treatment to remove unwanted hair from between her eyebrows. Plasmalite technology uses pulses of light focused through a handset by the operator onto the surface of the skin. The light causes the hair shaft and follicle to heat up, and eventually the follicle dies and the hair cannot regrow. Several treatments may be needed to remove hairs from a region entirely.
