Manchester, UK 3rd November, 2015. Kirsty Howard's funeral takes place today. Kirsty, from Wythenshawe in south Manchester, was born with her heart back to front and was expected to live only a few weeks. However, she defied medical opinion and lived to raise millions of pounds for Francis House Hospice. She also received Outstanding Achievement Award from the Variety Club, and Cosmopolitan Ultimate Woman Award in 2014. She died, aged twenty, on October 24th. Credit: John Fryer/Alamy Live News
