WATERS EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINNSULA (March 25, 2017) Fire Controlman 3rd Class Joseph MacFarland, left, Fire Controlman 1st Class, Lewis Kim, center, and Sonar Technician Surface 3rd Class Lashaad Hopewell, right, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63), man the rails as the ship begins its transit into Jeju-do. Stethem was the first Naval vessel to pull into port at Joint Civil-Military Complex on the island of Jeju-do. Stethem is on patrol in the East China Sea supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
